I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Kroger
Interview
I applied online through career services. Interview was with 2 senior managers (one from the IT side and the other from the business side of supply chain) and was about an hour long. They were both very laid back and funny. Asked me to go over my resume with them and asked a lot of questions about experience with working in a group and leadership.

Question 1
Asked for specific examples of leadership and problem solving within a group.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Elizabethtown, KY)
Interview
The interview was pretty formal and easy. The Associate Manager was the one that did the interviewing and she just asked the basic retail questions. It seems that if you get an interview you'll more than likely get the job as long as you don't say anything that would jeopardize that. The manager actually spent more time talking about the company than actually asking questions. She also liked the fact that I was in college since many of the employees there were attending a college or university. They also do an oral drug test with you right away in the office after the interview.

Question 1
There wasn't any difficult or unexpected questions.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Kroger (Wichita, KS) in Aug 2009
Interview
I filled out an application and scheduled an interview with the HR director. I dressed nicer than business casual with nice black slacks and shirt. I was asked a few questions mostly about customer service philosophy and availability and was given a drug test in the store that involved a swabbing of the cheek.
