I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kroger (Murphysboro, IL) in Apr 2011
Interview
The interview was pleasant and to the point. I enjoyed the directness of management and the opportunities explained by them. There was an in general description on what would be required of me. I was explained that which was required of me and the duties in general. They were very direct and of course professional in the presentation on that which was required of me.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kroger (Cincinnati, OH) in Sep 2012
Interview
1:1 interview with direct line manager, immediately followed by panel interview with business units to be supported. Two weeks later I had a C-level interview.
Experience based questions but I felt like organizational fit was more the focus. I did not find the interview to be representative of the actual working conditions.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Atlanta, GA) in Aug 2012
Interview
The questions were pretty much easy. They asked standard customer service questions and the process was relatively short. They also told me that I would be working in several different departments, even though cashier would be my primary area. The woman who interviewed me told me that she went to school for something totally different to what she was doing now, hiring manager, but she ended up loving what she does.
