I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Marietta, GA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Because I had too many years experience they would have had to pay me more per their own policy so they made me a produce clerk. Easy. But they like to start with minimum wage! I did get to start at 15 cents above minimum wage with fluency in several languages! All in all - lower management was helpful, upper management not so much.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kroger in Oct 2014
Interview
It was quick and easy, you do have to do a mouth swab for background check. Honestly they're hire just about anyone who is able to work the hours needed. Most just asked about what college I was attending, what times I had class, and what my major was. It was a simple conversation between the hiring manager in the pharmacy manager.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Tolleson, AZ) in Oct 2013
Interview
Applied through an online website and was called within a week. Went in for an interview. The interview went really well since they offered me the position. They gave ms instructions on how to proceed with the hiring process and I completed them within a few days. However, after not hearing back from them, I called and emailed to see if anything was wrong. They ignored my emails and phone calls and after 3 weeks of trying to get a hold of them, they took back the offer because the budget was rejected.
Since the position was a co-op position, I was almost too late to register for classes.
My advice: Don't offer positions that don't exist, it makes the company look untrustworthy and unorganized.
