I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Lagrange, GA) in Jul 2015
Interview
The easiest and most laid back interview I've ever had, didn't even ask more than two questions and hired right on the spot. Went back and took the drug test the next day, and called back within three days and said I passed and to come in the next day for training on computer which took two days.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Greenville, SC) in Apr 2014
Interview
Took in my resume, discussed options for shifts offering full availability. Expected initial offer discussed at ten dollars an hour probationary level for 25 plus years experience running Fortune 100/500 companies. It was also suggested further promotions were available for placement. Final offer was for 7.25 and 12 hours a week total with no room for advancement, and a nickel raise once a year. After taxes and union dues this comes to 70 dollars a week take home pay. After benefit program, that's less than 25 dollars a week.
Read that again. 25 dollars a week.
I suspect that over hiring staff may be an issue.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kroger (Virginia Beach, VA) in Jun 2013
Interview
Easy, they do make you feel comfortable. You normally interview with the manager of the department you applied for. Dress casual, no jeans. Smile and make eye contact. The first part of our interviews is a phone screening and then the 2nd interview is in store. If successful they will do drug and back round right there.
