I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Searcy, AR) in Jun 2011
Interview
Very brief. Didn't even try to ask about my work background, what shifts I was available to work, didn't offer uniform had to ask for it. Only gave me a 12 hour notice before having to go to training in North Little Rock nor did they compensate for the gas mileage like promised. Didn't explain that I was going to be a cashier until after I completed the week training course for deli/bakery and came in on my first day of work at that store.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Dayton, OH)
Interview
I sat down with the Customer Service Manager and she asked me some questions. After that I was told I got the job, and had to fill out paperwork and told I had to submit a drug test.

Interview
Once I had someone I knew put in a good word I was able to get an interview. I met with the HR manager and she asked a few questions, swabbed my mouth for a drug test and told me what day I could start.
