      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger in Jun 2022

      Interview

The process began online and roughly 8 days afterwards, I got a call for an interview. First advice: Ask if it's an actual interview or 'I come in dressed up, sit for two minutes, and you get me to sign a name and what position I'm looking for'. That can depend on whether or not the manager is in that week, but either way, ask before you go. Always ask questions. They took my information, sent me an email package for background information, and I received a call about a day later to come in for an actual interview. I sat in the Starbucks area of the store and after a few minutes, the manager came out to greet me. She was friendly and quick to get into the business matters. We go over the typical questions of 'Why do you want to work here', 'How available are you', and general questions you'd expect. They explained each job to me, what to expect from them, and what I could look forward to working them. It was quick, clean, and the manager was happy to answer most any question I asked and offered a few recommendations based on her first impressions.

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kroger (Franklin, TN) in Mar 2015

      Interview

I went to a Kroger Job Fair which just consisted of some HR people at a table with literature and some food. I guess I presented myself well because the guy who hired me hardly asked anything, he just looked at me and decided I should work in the Deli (which was not what I wanted, but ..). You do have to pass a background check and drug test, but I had no experience in grocery stores and almost none in food service - doesn't matter, they need lots of bodies and they can train you (some computer based training before you go on the floor, then OJT). I brought a resume and maybe that also influenced the guy to think I was a good bet. It was almost like he had stars in his eyes when he saw me :-) and that would not have been due to my looks :-(.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Houston, TX) in Mar 2021

      Interview

They have group interviews for their part time floor employees. These interviews are better than some other group interviews that I've been on and if you're asked for an interview they will probably end up hiring you for the position. They are mainly concerned with the availability of their potentials hires and that is mostly what decides wether or not you get the job when you have been called in for an interview at Kroger
