I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kroger (Sterling, IL) in Apr 2016
Interview
She asked me what my passion was. That was literally it. I got the job and worked there for a month before quitting because I got paid minimum wage to do twice the amount of work because most of my coworkers were lazy.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in May 2016
Interview
Much of it was very basic. They were doing a hiring fair at the time, which I didn't know about, so it ended up being a rushed interview. There were 3 or 4 interviews happening at the same time in a small meeting room in the back of the store. Overall it was a pretty unprofessional setting and not even conducted by a manager or dept. leader, but rather a cashier supervisor.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Marietta, GA) in Nov 2015
Interview
The interview was extremely easy there is a pretty high turnover so you may not be placed in the department you applied for but rather in the department that needs you. Most of the interview was actually spent discussing the company and opportunities.
