I applied online. I interviewed at Kmart (Annandale, VA) in Dec 2017
Interview
First interview with hiring manager (she kept me waiting for half an hour and did not apologise) we went through my resume, she did not ask many questions just asked why I wanted to work at kmart. She asked me to come back the next day to meet with the department head. I went back the following day and met the manager, who seemed more worried that i wouldn't be able to stand for 8 hours a day than anything else. She said I had the job if the general manager approved, I then met the GM and was approved. A very quick and easy process

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Kmart in Mar 2018
Interview
I was asked questions regarding my work history, handling customer situations, etc. Then I was asked about availability, hours, payscale. It was generally an open conversation with the manager, they were more interested in reading me a person instead of working off of a formal interview sheet like some retail managers are required to do. Overall it was totally a low-stress experience. A little confidence goes a long way here!

Interview
I got a call 2 days after filling in the application form along with the questionnaire. The interview went on pretty smoothly. The Store Manager mainly asked basic behavioral interview questions. Nothing out of ordinary.
