I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kmart (Naperville, IL) in Jun 2012
Interview
I applied online to be a Kmart cashier. I had never held a job before and I was only 16 years old. The interviewer was also in charge of Human Resources there. She was very nice and asked me a few questions about my availability as a part time cashier. It did not matter I had no previous job experience. The interview was very short and she offered me the job then.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kmart (Marshall, MN) in Apr 2013
Interview
It was a very simple interview. They asked questions about your resume and asked questions to get to know you better. It was a fun interview and they just wanted to see if you were the type of person they wanted to be a part of their team.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kmart (Concord, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
The interview process was fairly simple, I spent more time filling out paperwork than in the actual interview. However, the HR representative never showed up so I was interviewed by the front-end lead, and it all worked out. People in management were friendly and easy to work with and talk to. It was a one-on-one interview that lasted maybe 15 minutes at the end of which I was offered the job.
