I applied online. I interviewed at Kmart (Somerset, KY)
Interview
Hiring process was needlessly extended. The online application took several hours to complete, including time spent re-entering information from uploaded resume, and time taking personality quizzes that do not truly indicate fitness for work, as no one would truthfully answer a negative question (seriously, who says "yes" to "is it okay to steal from work?"). However, the interview itself was lovely, very friendly and open, with plenty of opportunity to inquire about the job, and get a feel for the retail culture and history of the company.

Interview
Drug Test, lot's of questions about what kinds of experiences you had that would help you in the role if you've never worked as a cashier or have a non existent resume
It was mostly online, and about an hour long. You have to fill out a lot of questions about how you feel about topics (mostly pertaining to work ethic and integrity) along a spectrum. Then you do a video-game like interview where you pretend to interact with customers. Finally, you interview in person.

I waited at customer service and told them I had a interview. I went in a room with a lady and asked my capabilities. Told me the requirements for the job and gave me my paper work to get hired.
