First thing first, I DO NOT recommend to go into hiring process with Klarna. As all investment you do and time you spent for this process can be just ruined in one step with an extremely bad interview experience.
I went through the following process:
1-Logical Assesment (15-30 Mins)
2-HR Interview (30 Mins)
3-Logical Assesment (15-30 Mins & Supervised)
4-Behavioral Interview (1 Hour - Klarna's Principles)
5-Skills Interview (Preperation 3 days & Presentation 1 Hour)
6-Team Fit Interview (Supposed to be 30 mins but it was about 20 mins)
My thoughts and experience:
*The overall follow up and contributions from HR was great, very professional and satisfying.
*Logical assesments were quite easy for me because I like those type of assesments. If you are not familiar with those assesments, I advice you to have a look.
*Behavioral Interview was really great, the interviewer was very competent, open minded, innovative person and had great industry knowledge and it was impressive to learn more about Klarna from interviewer.
*In regards to skills interview, the idea of Presentation makes sense. I have prepared a professional one and I think I presented it very well. Interviewer was very kind, had extensive knowledge about industry and products. Feedback session was great to improve my skills and learn about my missing points / mistakes during presentation.
*I had a conversational interview which I think was defined as team fit interview. Unfortunately, I had my worst interview experience in my entire career. With very simple explanation, it was disappointing after all steps. It supposed to be 30 mins but it lasted about 20-25 mins, from start to finish of the interview, I was feeling that the decision about my process has already been given in negative way.
While it was obvious that I had no fintech experience, it felt really bad to project this as a negativity and downplay my previous experience and skills. It was felt from the very beginning that the result would be negative. At this point, my advice to Klarna may be that the candidate is not invited to the interview if it is already clear that a negative decision will be taken.
One important note: Altough I have chosen to apply Klarna because of its innovative charachteristics, when I ask a question about innovation, suprisingly, I have learnt that the expectation from me would be focusing on my sales figures locally. I can't generalize this to the whole company, it could be maybe just an individual approach.
