I have read a lot of negative reviews about Klarna interview process but thought to myself "how bad can it be". I've applied on their careers portal. Got a call from the recruiter for initial screening about experience and salary expectations. Later I went through a lot of interviews 1. Kattis Logic test - 15 mins 2. Online coding interview in Java - 1hr 3. Live online coding interview in java with an engineer 1 hour + online behavioral interview with manager - 30 mins 4. Onsite interviews + lunch: 1 hour system design with architect+ 30 mins behavioral interview with team lead + lunch with the future prospective teammates After such a rigorous interview process I received an offer with a lot less salary than I actually asked the recruiter in my initial call. Reason stated: My work experience is suitable for a mid senior position and not a senior position as per Klarna's expectations. What I didn't understand was why they've not mentioned this to me in the initial stages of the process. They've simply wasted my time and really unprofessional.
