If you start the interview process with Klarna, they will send you a message that you can not reply to saying that they will soon send you a link to a pattern/shape IQ test. A day later you will receive the link to take the test. You have 18 questions or so and 15 minutes to complete the test.
I reviewed several of these types of tests before taking mine.
I found the process to be impersonal. Since they do not contact you or give you a way to respond to a person. Just think if you were a disabled person and were given this type of test. That would be horrible.
So to me any company that judges a person on a test, without an interview is not a company that I would want to work for. It shows, that they are not very human, genuine or authentic in their processes and most likely their management.
Also, these tests prove nothing. It is better to judge someone on their skills, merit and accomplishments. Personally, having read the other reviews here on Glassdoor, I should have simply steered away from the test altogether. It simply makes no sense to even offer a test of this nature unless their only real goal is to collect data of some kind. In fact, I would be curious to what background operations were running during the test.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (Estocolmo, ) in Feb 2025

I just have the feeling some things have been unsaid regarding the culture, might pursue Klarna later instead.
I appreciated the interview setup and discussions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Klarna
Interview
The first round was fine--typical screener going over the role. Second round I think was ridiculous--an intelligence test. I took the test with a proctor, and found out I failed. No feedback, and no room to improve. Bizarre.
Glad I got rejected:
(1) Pre Screen - Amazing recruiter who was very kind
(2) Logical test (Passed that)
(3) Skills Interview - This.
-The person who interviewed me was just plain bad.
-The ego on this person's face was felt in my entire house. Cut me off in between answers, asked me questions to make it seem the interviewer has made their mind up to reject me from the 1st minute because whatever I said (backing up with examples) were not received well.
-When asked follow up questions, the interviewer seem disinterested and some weren't even answered.
Overall, a horrible experience.
And guess what? This was maybe the 1st of their 765 rounds of interviews.
Advice: Please don't let your candidates jump hoops for you when you lay them off IN A PRE-RECORDED video.
Also a big advice: Train your employees to interview. Klarna behaves like a wannabe FAANG but lacks the empathy of interviewing.
P.S.: The interviewer had said everyone at Klarna is humble. That's definitely laughable from the way they portrayed their personality. (No offence to other Klarnauts)
