The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Klarna (Berlín)
Interview
The interview processes at Klarna have improved a lot. Best interview experience so far, all the interviewers were very friendly and laid back.
First I received a simple logic test, then after a phone screening with hr I was given some coding exercises. After completed the exercises, I was asked to have two onsite interviews, one was more behavioural, the interviewers were mainly asking questions about my current position and working experience. The other one was a code review and improvement of my online exercises and I was asked to describe a project I worked on. Then I was called in to have the last set of onsite interviews, including one technical interview, and one behavioural interview with the team lead.
The Klarna people seemed very cool and the company culture seemed very tech centred. The tech interviews won't be hard as long as you know your field well, I found the behavioural interviews more difficult in general. Hr/recruiter was very helpful.
it consisted of 3 parts, HR, technical, behavioural. The technical part was a leetcode hard problem but they did not expect a hard solution. The behavioural was related to leadership principles similar to most companies.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (París) in Oct 2025
Interview
I had a second experience with Klarna. After the ghosting of last year, Klarna reach out again for a SWE position. The same happened. After the first discussion, I have been told again to book a slot for the second round. And then... no news from anyone.
Second ghosting. Klarna has a terrible HR process and policy.
I feel like I dodge a bullet here. The work environment might be pretty toxic if it is aligned with the HR practices.
