      Operations Manager Interview

      Mar 23, 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Keller Williams in Oct 2013

      Interview

I was recruiter for an interview after I responded to their Craigslist ad. The main reason I was picked for an interview was because the instructions simply specified to send resume as a PDF format. I arrived 15 minutes early to a 9:30 interview and the Team Leader interviewed me at 10:15am. They discussed the job responsibilities and how vital it is to pay attention to details. I was hired a week later for a FT position as a 1099 employee

      Question 1

The unexpected question was, "What is your biggest WHY?"

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Keller Williams

      Interview

Interview process was very arduous and it was over a two month process. I had 7 interviews total, each lasting an hour on average except for the Life Story/Motivational Interview which was 3 hours total. I also had to take two assessments one of which preceded a very lengthy discussion about the assessment after it was complete. They ask you extremely personal questions about your personal life and personal goals. These are things I wouldn't even tell a good friend. I think some of these questions are illegal to ask. No benefits whatsoever. No one even explained the paid time off policy. They ask you what your salary requirements are but get no where near what you ask for or what you are worth. There is no bonus structure, it's all discretionary. My offer was way lower than what I made at previous employer and they were not willing to negotiate. The average pay for this role in my area is $25k more a year than what they offered. They said that the bonuses could get me to my desired salary but the average bonus reported online is nowhere near what I would want to make up for lack of compensation. I have spoken to people who work for KW and the operations people/office staff do everything that the agents do not want to do and it's extremely busy work. I really hope this review helps someone because all of the reviews I read online helped me tremendously. I have determined that there is no real structure after training is complete and you are on your own to figure out most of the job. *Note - Each office runs differently because KW is a franchised company but I think that the recruiting process, paid time off and pay scales are the same across the board.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about your life starting when you got out of high school. Tell me what jobs you had and what you learned. What did your personal life look like during these times and what did you learn from your experiences? What are your personal and professional goals? They asked so many questions that ranged from typical interview questions to very personal questions.
