I have received a call from an HR representative for a first phone screening interview. Shortly after, I have received an email inviting me for a face-to-face interview. I have then proceed with the face-to-face interview with a lovely hiring manager. Until here, everything went very well. The communication between the candidate (me) and HR was great. At the end of the interview, the manager told me that I would have definitely hear back by the end of the week. However, I have waited for two weeks, and still no reply. I have obviously understood from this that I was not successful, which is totally fine, but I would have expected a rejection email. I have then proceeded to email the HR representative to know the outcome of my interview and I have literally got no reply back. Ghosting candidates that took the time to get interviewed face-to-face is dreadful. It takes literally a minute to let the candidates know that they won’t proceed further, even with just a copy and paste email.
