I was asked to complete two written assignments as part of the interview process. Both were substantial, and one brief was several pages long. They took multiple days to complete.
After submitting, I received no feedback or follow-up. Complete radio silence. Given the level of time and effort required, the lack of communication was very disappointing and felt disrespectful of my time as a candidate.
I have since seen similar feedback from others who interviewed for creative roles, which suggests this may not have been an isolated experience. I would encourage candidates applying to the creative team at Johnson Controls to clarify expectations around assignments and feedback timelines in advance. Be careful not to be taken advantage of.
