I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2019
Interview
One week after completing an online application form for the role, I was invited to attend an interview. Along with my invitation to interview, I was sent a fairly vague and ambiguous case study and was asked to prepare a 10minute presentation using this, which would be part of the interview.
The interview itself was carried out by 2 individuals in a very small room. It began with me delivering my presentation. The interviewer informed me that this would be timed and would be stopped at the 10min mark in order to be fair to other candidates. Following completion of the presentation, we went straight into questions. This was a mix of competency based questions and questions relating to my CV/experience. Some example questions are below. In total, the entire process lasted approx 1 hour. The interviewers made for a fairly relaxed atmosphere.
Approximately 2 weeks following the interview, I was informed that my application wasn't successful. I requested some feedback, and approximately 1 week following my request I was provided with some.

Question 1
Can you describe a risk that you have had to manage in one of your projects and how you went about doing so?

Interview
Half Day Assessment Centre, it was by far the best process and a very positive experience. Group activity, followed by interview and presentation.
Group Activity was scenario based, there was very little set up. Only one observer who was at times on their mobile phone which was distracting.
Interview was personable, and competence based. You need to make sure you know about the partnership behaviours, there was a tendency for the recruiting manager to dominate the talking but that could have been a test!
Presentation was on a broad topic and timed.
Whilst I did not get through it made me even more determined to work for the partnership, unfortunately they did not respond to a request for interview feedback. Apart from that everything was very professional and friendly,
