I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners in Feb 2022
Interview
Before reaching an interview stage, you have to complete an online assessment that you receive after you submit your application. I unfortunately failed the task which was frustrating since I spent a day shaping my portfolio and cover letter. The assessment seems very outdated. The questions are also ambiguous and forces a specific pattern of answers. This may be due to JL having a certain culture and type of employee they want to hire which is understandable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Assessment questions were based on what your behaviour could be like in a work environment and how you would react/cope under certain work scenarios. A lot were based on retail environments which were not applicable to this job role.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
Was asked to fill in an online questionnaire where you answer with either the 'most efficient' or 'least efficient' way of dealing with a situation.
The way you select answers is confusing and broken as the first item you click is ALWAYs the Most efficient, even if asked to select Least efficient. So do you have to click both?
Awful automated system removing any human element form the review process.

Question 1
Most efficient way to do any number of tasks
Least efficient way to do any number of tasks
The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
It started off with a small chat to calm the nerves with the current student. Then powerpoint presentation about a subject that was already told. Then 4 questions about life etc with more probing questions after your first answer. So would dig into more detail.
