I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Leicester, Inglaterra) in Sep 2016
Interview
Firstly we were grouped and asked to prioritise a list of daily tasks and rank them by how we would delegate them to others and in which order we would complete them. As a group we would have to provide feedback to a current floor manager with our work, justifying our reasons. While we completed this work we were also reviewed on how we communicated with others. We were then asked to answer independent questions on what we would do in specific situations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If a customer asked you to find a product but you were taking a long time to find it in storage, what would you do?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2014
Interview
Online competency questions followed by a face to face interview as well as a group interview, which involved being given a task and having to work as a group to solve a problem. Hiring criteria were lenient though. Overall good hiring process, just be presentable and confident. No need necessarily for prior experience.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Birmingham, Inglaterra) in Sep 2016
Interview
I took part in a group interview with 5 others, we were given a group activity then taken off individually to answer questions about ourselves. I found the group activity challenging, we had to create a leaflet and it took me a while to know what to say but my current manager advised me that generally it's more about listening to others and saying something meaningful rather than just talking as much as you can. I was asked what days I would be available to work then left after my 1:1 chat. I didn't hear anything until around 5 weeks later after chasing the store manager because it turned out they'd completely forgotten to inform ANYONE about whether they were successful, and when i was offered a position is was for the days I had told them already I was unable to work due to university commitments. Overall a disappointing experience as I already work for Waitrose and thought the process would have been handled much better than this.
