I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Aberdeen, Escocia) in Oct 2018
Interview
I started out by applying online which required me to complete two separate tests. After the tests, I got an email inviting me to schedule my time slot for a group assessment. The group assessment lasted just over an hour and consisted of two parts: a group exercise and an individual exercise. For the group exercise, we were split into 3 groups of 5 and given a scenario of a number of tasks that needed to be completed. We had 5 minutes of individual preparation time and then 20 minutes to discuss as a group what priority we gave to each task. About 10 minutes in, the interviewer handed as a sheet of paper that has an additional task that we had to work into the list. After this, we had an individual exercise in which we were given a sheet of paper with 3 questions on it. We were given 20 minutes to answer how we would tackle each of the 3 problems.

Question 1
1. You are working on the click and collect till when a customer approaches you and says she received an email saying her order of an iron was ready to be collected. You check the stock room but cannot find the order. How do you respond?
2. The sales team in the linen range approach you and they are not hitting their sales targets. You know the popular 'Egyptian bed linen' has low availability at the moment. As a stock Replenishment assistant, how do you ensure the sales team hit their sales targets?
3. You are in the stock room when you come up with a more efficient way of doing things. You haven't told anyone yet about your idea. How would you go about doing this?
