John Lewis & Partners interview questions

I had completed an online assessment to which I had passed and was invited for an interview. It was a group interview, consisting of roughly 5-6 per group and 2 supervisors watching each group. Given an initial task of reading a booklet of customer profiles and the event or party they are hosting and discussing what John Lewis can do for them . (Here they are looking for your knowledge of John lewis's and its partners services). During this discussion, it is important to speak up and talk as they are assessing what you say individually. Go into this half of the assessment having spent some time going through the website and learning its services. It has so many! For the next half of the interview, we were given a written test to complete. We had to complete it individually in silence for 10 minutes. They were scenario questions and they want to know what you would do if in that situation and steps to take to overcome it.

The process is primarily online, where a candidate will go through several stages of situational judgement tests. Following this, there is often a group interview in scenario based circumstances, where candidates will work in small groups to determine what they believe is the most appropriate outcome. There is also the possibility that a candidate will be invited for a one-to-one interview, but this is very rare in my experience.
