I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2018
Interview
I applied online and the job application system was outdated with irrelevant questions to the job.
After applying, I was contacted and asked to do a frontend task before progressing to an in person interview. The take-home task was to use a provided API and display some products in a list and product page.
After completing the task, I uploaded the code to a private Github repo; I did not want to make this a public repo and let people know I was interviewing. I asked for the reviewer's Github username so I could give them access to the repo. They did not provide one, and insisted I make the repo public. This went a bit back and fourth.
In the end, the initial process took too long, I had applied to other companies and received an offer in the meantime.
Would not apply again; recruiters did not seem to know what they were doing. Process took long, and I did not feel respected for my time. This tells me enough about the company that I did not want to continue in the process.
