It was a typical interview process. First phone interview, followed by a in person interview. The in person interview was with three other hiring managers, which can be intimidating, but still very typical.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Jacobs (Costa Mesa, CA) in May 2013
Interview
Obtained meeting with HR manager and Project Manager. The meeting was discussion about services needed but with the caveat that the company had just been purchased by Jacobs Engineering so that the ability to hire at the moment was in a suspension mode due to the issues with restructure and merging. The overall interview process was beneficial and showed the areas that required my review such as key performance indicators as defined in the project management mythodology.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Jacobs (Houston, TX) in Mar 2014
Interview
Met with department managers and VP of the group. Questions were mostly about previous projects with details required. Some fundamental technical questions related to mechanical equipment (how it works, basic concepts) to ensure you know what you're talking about.
Interviewer seemed engaged and showed some genuine interest in what you wanted to get out of the job.
Easy interview.
