I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Jacobs (Cardiff, Gales) in May 2024
Interview
The interview process was an application on the company job portal followed by an email to notify me I was shortlisted. I was asked for availability and booked in for the interview. The interview itself went very well and even over-ran by about 20 mins as we had very good discussions about the role, the company, my experience and my ways of working and how that would fit wit the company and deliver the role effectively. As interviews go, I was confident that I would get an offer. 1 month later after chasing up twice with no response, I get an automated email to say I have been unsuccessful. The company is hypocritical and try to present a human side and emphasis on kindness and treating people right, yet they fail to do so during their own recruitment process. A simple phone call or detailed email to explain the rejection would have been appropriate. I raised this with them and was completely ignored. I will not recommend or encourage anyone to apply for to work for Jacobs.

Structured questions - Standard interview questions used by most companies.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jacobs (Londres, Inglaterra) in Mar 2026
Interview
Overall a smooth Process. Really nice staff and good interview questions. more of a conversation than an interview. Type of questions they ask is competency based questions e.g. "think of a time"..etc
Informal discussion asking about experience so far, aspirations, skill sets. Seemed like a pre-screening interview with the hiring managers. Virtual meeting - reasonably informal, polite and professional. Informed about company current projects.

Interview
Easy interview, worst part is the background check, the service they use is really outdated in their process that required me to do a lot of work myself. The service seemed very unorganized
