Had an initial phone screen to assess interest in the general offices and positions available and was told they would stay in touch once concrete positions and needs were established. After a month or two, had another phone screen assessing interest and skills again and then was invited to a video interview with a couple members of the office.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard behavioral questions like tell me a time you worked in a team, etc.
2 rounds with project managers. First call was introductory call, next follow up call was with other project managers. I really enjoyed interview process with Jacobs. Decision making was very fast and got offer in 2nd week.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jacobs (Philadelphia, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
I had a bit of a different path. I first had a one-on-one conversation with a team member (engineering team) at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Convention and was invited to have a same-day interview later in the afternoon with a manager. The interview with the manager was very low-stress. Honestly, I was leading the conversation and asking questions most of the time because the interviewer was so approachable. I have now been scheduled to have a final round interview, and the recruiters have been great about contacting me to schedule it; however, it did take some time for them to reach out after the same-day interview.

Question 1
What kind of engineering tools do I have experience with and in what application?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jacobs (Greenwood Village, CO) in Jun 2024
Interview
Really easy. Two senior engineers led the one interview. They asked general questions about my resume and if I was interested in field work. They also asked if I was interested in shorter duration projects, or projects that evolve over many years.
