I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intuit in Sep 2024
Interview
My interview process with Intuit was great, largely thanks to the recruiter I worked with. The process included a recruiter interview, followed by a hiring manager interview, and then an interview with a peer of the hiring manager. Although I didn’t go through the final stage, which typically involves a task-based presentation (“Assessing for Awesome”), I was given a clear understanding of what to expect.
The recruiter was fantastic—she made sure I was always informed at every step and took the time to understand me as a candidate. She didn’t just review my resume but really listened to what I was looking for in my next role. She even helped me think through which position would be the best fit in terms of seniority and career growth. It felt like she genuinely cared about making the right match, both for me and the company.
The hiring manager and the peer I interviewed with were very transparent about the role. They shared openly about what they knew and didn’t yet know about the position, as well as the challenges ahead. They also asked me what could potentially make me disappointed in my next role, which showed that they really think about the candidate and want to make sure it’s the right fit on both sides.
Overall, the process felt very personal and thoughtful. Intuit is lucky to have such a dedicated and genuine team representing them.

Interview
Positive Experience:
I appreciated the initial outreach from the recruiter on LinkedIn, who clearly explained the interview process. The phone screening was well-organized, and I enjoyed the technical challenges (e.g., LeetCode-style questions). The recruiter's prompt communication after the phone screen was also commendable.
The onsite interview experience was generally positive, with a well-structured format (Craft demo, System design, deep dive, and Management rounds). I was impressed by the technical expertise of the team members I met.
Areas for Improvement:
However, I experienced significant delays and lack of communication after the onsite interview. Specifically:
- I was told to expect a decision within 2 business days, but didn't receive any update until I sent multiple follow-ups (4 business days later).
- The Toronto recruiter failed to acknowledge my follow-ups, which was disappointing.
- When I finally received a response, there was minimal feedback provided.
Suggestions:
To improve the candidate experience:
1. Establish clearer communication channels and response timelines.
2. Ensure recruiters acknowledge candidate follow-ups, even if it's just to confirm receipt.
3. Provide more detailed feedback to candidates, especially after investing 7 hours in the interview process.
Overall:
While the technical team was impressive, the onsite recruiter's communication (or lack thereof) left a negative impression. I hope this feedback will help refine your interview process.

Pass CV test. Then was invited for the site. We were taught Go code language and got ask to solve 2 medium questions in GO (leet code style). The internet connection (need to use their WiFi) was bad so every minute my website reloaded and I can't solve a single question. Even though the instructors saw that problem they didn't help much and I didn't get a second chance.
