I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Intuit (Menlo Park, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
Phone call with the recruiter, phone call with the hiring manager, 3 on-site interviews the following week, 3 more on-site interviews the week after, another phone call with the recruiter.
Intuit has a fairly structured interview process, there are 6 on-site interviewers and they meet ahead of time to determine their interviewing strategy. The hiring manager identifies areas which they think are relevant to the position, and each person takes an area to focus on during the interview. It was relatively rigorous and I liked that I didn't get the same questions over and over.
I appreciated how transparent they were throughout the entire process. Whenever I asked a question about the process or other candidates, they were very straightforward with their responses.
I was the only candidate to make it all the way through their entire process, and after my last interview the recruiter called me with some follow up questions and concerns from the team. Then they went ahead and checked my references. 1.5 weeks after that, the recruiter let me know that the team felt that I wasn't enthusiastic enough about the position and was worried that I was of high flight risk. I was disappointed because I knew that I performed well on the interviews and was pretty confident about receiving an offer. I also felt that something like enthusiasm for the role could have been screened out pretty easily in the initial phone interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were fairly structured and detailed and were mostly based on my past work experience. Almost every interviewer asked me why I wanted to work at Intuit and that team in particular.
1 Round of Telephonic, 3 rounds of technical, 1 round with hiring manager

How would you implement Single Signon with social networks in WPF. They would have an accordian or a list box on the left, the authentication view on the right
How would you create a factory pattern in c# in such a way that I could just add Concrete classes and not have to modify the scaffolding (the creators).

Interview
The interview process will begin with a screening from HR. the HR reps do not have a clear understanding of what the req entails, so save the detailed questions for the face to face interview. Also be prepared to answer multiple STAR questions (situation, task, action and result). It helps to also know the companies history, fiscal plans, and market value.
