I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Intertek (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
The overall interview was pleasant. A group of 3 to 4 people interviewed for about 45 minutes. I wouldnt mention anything about school. They get spooked very easily about grad school of any kind. They have lost people to med school and grad school and will deny you an offer if they think this is a stopgap job.

Interview
Informal and brief. Met the team and was more of a "get to know you" and "make sure you are someone who's competent and we can stand" meeting. Everyone was very easy-going and friendly. Got a followup email saying there was interest in hiring me and asking salary requirements. After my reply, I did not hear a response. I had to inquire with a friend who was working there what had happened. They had told the group I interviewed with that I did not like meeting any of them (not true) and was not interested (not true). I can only surmise that my salary requirements were too high and did not want to tell the team the truth.
