First got an phone call to tell me to come for the lab technician position interview. So I went to there and be asked lots of subject- based questions, then went to have a look at their lab and introduced what exactly them do in the lab. After about 2 weeks, they called me back for 2nd interview. I went there, no questions at all. just told me I got the job, and asked me to do the pre-employee medical sceening.

They briefly show you around the laboratory and then sit you down to have an informal chat. No technical questions were covered. The Intertek I am at hires primarily people from other low paid, labour intensive jobs such as supermarkets and warehouses. I feel as if my skills (6 years working in laboratories) was under valued and not picked up on enough in the small talk I was given.

Interview
It was a smooth process and a nice relaxed interview with some challenging behavioural and technical questions. I was asked questions about the company background, bits of machinery and I competent I would be at doing certain tasks. I was taken for a tour around the site and was relaxed all the way through. Management were very friendly and this helped any nerves.
