I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at International Committee of the Red Cross (Atenas, , Ática) in Mar 2019
Interview
Within 1 day after my application I was asked to do a 2.5h technical test. Having passed this successfully, I was called for a half-hour interview within the same day through skype. I passed this 1st interview and next day I was called for 1.5h personal interview within that same day as well. At the end of the 2nd interview I was asked to prepare my documents and that the reference check would take place in parallel with the hiring process as there was urgent need to cover the position. Next, day they asked in written for at least 2 referees within the same day again and I managed to provide 3 former supervisors. The referees were asked to provide feedback within that day as well through a form. After 3 days, I received an impersonal and cold e-mail that at the end they proceeded with another candidate. Since they gave no reason on this, I asked for more details. I never got a reply and at the end after sending reminder etc, I was informed over the phone that I would have had too fast progress and so they preferred another candidate with a slower development in the position.
Too pushing and hectic procedure while creating false expectations for no reason. Sadly they made me think that they don't care how all this affect candidate's mentality.
