I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Austin, TX) in Jun 2013
Interview
Initial interview was with the recruiter and it was a just a quick phone conversation. He did most of the talking and didn't really even ask me too many questions. Mostly just telling me about Insight Global and what they're looking for. Next, I met with one of the Account Managers at the office for an interview, it probably took 30 minutes. She asked me typical sales interview questions and it really wasn't too difficult. She told me about the company, answered questions I had. There was lots of general small talk. Next I went into the office and every single person came and shook my hand and introduced themselves. Next I met the sales manager and talked to him for maybe 5-10 minutes. He asked me a few more questions (why sales? Why insight global? etc.) He also asked me what my favorite bars were in the city and what I do on the weekends. They definitely want someone super chatty and social, don't be afraid to tell them that you like to go out with friends for drinks a lot. It was almost unprofessional how much we talked about bars, drinking, etc. Anyways, the third round was a lunch interview with the account manager I had talked with on the second interview and the sales manager again. It was really just a conversation, they want to see how you carry yourself in that type of situation. It was a little awkward though, I got the feeling that they had already chosen someone and didn't even want to be there.
