I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Insight Global (Boston, MA) in Mar 2014
Interview
I came into the office after having a phone interview with a recruiter in OH. I loved speaking with the recruiter in OH, and felt she was very personable and helpful in learning more about the company. She said I would meet with sales managers in the Boston office for the second round. I met with one sales manager, after waiting for about 15-20 minutes, and he did not even look at my resume. He didn't ask about my background, but asked "Why sales?" and "What motivates you?" and then opened up for questions. I do not believe he got a good grasp on who I was as a person and how I work. He wanted to see if I was social and motivated to be in a sales position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Insight Global (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2013
Interview
It starts off with one interview on the phone, they pretty much tell you about the company and ask for your opinion on the sales world and if you would make a good sales person. If they like you they ask you to come down for a lunch interview to see how you would be able to work in that situation.
