Question 1
There are some programming tasks which takes some time but not that difficult.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Insight Global in Mar 2014
Interview
Contacted through Linkedin, scheduled a phone-interview. Like most posts have already said, the recruiter does most of the talking and then ask a little about your background, etc. Asked to attend the career fair. Upon arriving, introduced myself and the recruiter just asked if I had questions for her. I was able to ask one question and the recruiter pretty much ended the talk and said it would contact me next week. Considering they are having next day interviews, I know I didn't make it to the next phase. It was misleading because the recruiter seemed very interested in me during our phone conversation but when we meet in person it was basically about nothing. Waste of time.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Insight Global (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Submitted Resume and was called in for an interview with Insight Gobal and then that same week I had an interview with the client and then the next found out I had been hired on.
