Interview
almost too conversational, inefficient but intimate. I felt as if they tried to get to know me way too much as a person they are just to be working with. I understand you are trying to see if people can connect with others but a little over board
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Orlando, FL) in Feb 2019
Interview
DON'T FALL FOR THE RECRUITERS.
I initially came in for an in-person interview in Orland so I could be vetted for a phone interview with the New York office. The man who recruited me for the interview said the process would be extremely casual and throw everything I had been taught about formal interviews out the window. My recruiter told me I should know all about the people interviewing me and should be able to tell him facts about them, like their hobbies or where they went to school. However, as other associates came into the interview room to talk to me all of the questions they asked me were all formal in nature. I felt very confused if I should try to answer the questions formally, try to put some of my personality into it or bring more casual topics into the conversation. The vibe was really strange. Everyone talking to me seemed like the didn't want to be there and kept talking about how busy they were. My recruiter told me he would get back to me in the next few days but after several weeks with no word I reached out again and he said their office in Orlando was full. Apparently, he couldn't keep his recruits straight because I was very clear I was looking to be in their New York office. At the end he said he would be happy to help me find a job through their talent acquisition services, which gave me the impression that they just reach out to upcoming college graduates to try to get more people to use their services to find a job with other companies. The whole thing felt like a scheme and was a complete waste of time.

Question 1
General questions about my work experience and how that would translate to the position.

Interview
It begins with a casual phone interview with a recruiter. You are asked basic questions about your past experience and you learn what their company is all about. If that conversation goes well you are then asked to come in to their Chicago office and you meet with 4 people separately. The final interview is very laid back, they take you out to lunch and give you a tour of the office. It's all based on how well you can drive a conversation and build a relationship.
