Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and then we had a phone call. Then a 30-45 min video call. We were scheduled for an interview in person with a manager and a sales manager but I ended up declining and not going to that. After that interview assuming they wanted me to move forward with them it was supposed to be a longer shadowing day/final interview and giving some sort of presentation. It wasn’t necessarily a bad interview process I just ended up doing research on the company and reviews from past employees and decided it wasn’t for me.

Question 1
They wanted to make sure I had a passion for sales and that I had read about their missions and phrases they live by. (This was what the video interview was based on) the initial call on the phone was just explaining the role basically. I was told they don’t hire based on what your resume says or skills you have. But it’s more about if you’re willing to do sales and fit the personality they’re looking for. So if you’re interested you should be motivated by making money and not afraid to make cold calls even if it’s not your favorite thing
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Austin, TX) in May 2025
Interview
Began with a 15 minute warmer call with a recruiter to then schedule a 45 minute call with the recruiter, then either an in-person or online interview with hiring manager, and then last interview with manager.
