I was contacted by a recruiter who came across my resume online.
First round, there's a pretty straight forward phone interview. The recruiter just wanted to get a feel for you and see if you were a relatively outgoing person who could hold a conversation.
Second round, there is an in-person interview with 3 managers. The first two were extremely nice and friendly. In fact, the first two interviewers made it just seem like a normal conversation. As the position is mainly sales, they just wanted to see if you were in fact a social person who could keep a conversation interesting and continuing.
While the first two were very friendly, the third manager, who was a sales manager, was absolutely not. In fact, I remember vividly she picked her teeth (as in she put her finger in her mouth to dig out food) while we were speaking. I think she actually picked her molars which is even worse.
Now, I'm not by any means an expert on social norms, and I don't regard myself as someone who needs to be treated like nobility. But, when you pick your teeth for food in any conversation, let alone an interview, I just find that absolutely disgusting. I think she even ate the food when she picked it out which is just even worse. I don't know, maybe she ate a very fibrous lunch and needed to pick her teeth out or something.
