Interview process for consultants involves meeting with your recruiter at their offices. The important interview is meeting with the customer, they have the final approval. It is important to have the recruiter tell you as much about the job as possible.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview with the Insight Global recruiter was very minimal. it seemed like they just wanted to see how I presented myself personally. The customer in my case asked me about my experience and what I had worked on. Seemed most interested in my technical back ground
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Orlando, FL) in Jun 2014
Interview
I initially contacted the Ft. Lauderdale office and they did a good job in screening me, letting me talk about my current job, my reponsibilities and projects I was working on, then they proceeded to ask general high-level questions regarding my project management preferences (infrastructure Vs. software development), reason for leaving my current job (moving to Orlando) and other preferences so they could match my professional profile and preferences to their opportunities. They immediately contacted their Orlando office and I got a call from them, where the same general questions were asked and confirmed, after which they proceeded to search for opportunities, e-mailing me and calling me back with options and confirming if I was interested in them and if I authorized them to submit me for these roles as well. They didn't take long at all to schedule an interview with the company that ended up hiring me through them, they were there for me and made sure I had the right information before interviewing with this company.
