I received an email from an HR manager requesting a phone interview. The interview was scheduled and we spoke on the phone for a half hour. HR promised to follow up to schedule a meeting with the hiring manager, but never did. I sent three follow up emails, each time with a promise from HR to follow up. That was 9 months ago. Employers shouldn't do this to candidates. If an applicant is no longer being considered for a role, then let them know. It's basic professionalism. In retrospect, I'm glad I did not proceed with a company that does this to its potential hires. Awful experience
