I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Infosys (Tirupati) in Jan 2025
Interview
I attended the interview for the System Engineer role at Infosys, and the entire process was smooth and well-organized. Initially, I appeared for a written test, which included seven sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Pseudocode, Puzzles, Grammar, and Essay Writing. I received the result the day before the interview.
The second round was the technical interview, held at the same location — Tirupati.
My interview was conducted by a senior professional with over 13 years of experience at Infosys. He began by introducing himself in a very friendly and approachable manner, which immediately made me feel comfortable. I then introduced myself and shared my academic background as a Computer Science student.
He asked me about one of the projects I had worked on, including the challenges I faced and how I overcame them. The discussion felt more like a conversation than a formal interview, which helped me express my thoughts confidently.
He also asked a few basic Computer Science and Software Engineering Life Cycle questions, which were very manageable. Toward the end, he invited me to ask questions. I inquired about the projects he was currently working on, and he took the time to explain one of them in detail. It was genuinely interesting and gave me insights into real-world applications. He even shared a useful suggestion regarding project development.
Overall, it was a very positive and enriching experience, with a friendly and professional interaction throughout.

Question 1
The interviewer asked me to explain one of my projects in detail — specifically focusing on the challenges I faced during the development process and how I solved them. This question really stood out because it gave me a chance to speak about my personal experience, problem-solving approach, and how I applied my technical knowledge practically.
It wasn’t just about the final outcome — he was genuinely interested in my thinking process, which made the conversation more meaningful and engaging. It also helped me reflect on my project from a new perspective.
The interview process was extremely smooth, but the offer letter took some time to get released. Overall good experience with the whole process. The questions were a bit tricky but they were good ones.
