I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys (Kandivalli) in Sep 2012
Interview
I had participated in a pool campus. There were hundreds of students and so the selection procedure was made to be short. there were only 2 rounds - an online test and then shortlisted students had to sit for the interviews.
The online test was very, very simple and most of us got through. Questions were on the basics of programming in C, C++, DBMS, OS.
The interviews were conducted on a one on one basis. There were many interviewers and interviews were going on simultaneously in separate classrooms. My interview was just an HR one and barely lasted 5 minutes. She The interviewer was keen on hiring me after looking at my academic performance and she did hire me in the end. :)

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
