I applied via Linkedin and filled out their online application. They had contacted me within a few days over email to ask me a few questions associated with my field.
Once I sent through my answers, they called for a pre-screening interview with the Talent Acquisition manager. It was super casual - asked me some questions on how I would describe myself and what keeps me motivated.
After that, I interviewed with the marketing manager via teams. They were super nice, very calming and approached the interview in a conversational manner which really helped ease my nerves. Asked questions such as what was my methods for research, What is my experience with fragrance and what do I find challenging in my current role. She also explained the duties and responsibilities of the role as well as the next steps of the interview process.
From there, I had waited two weeks, receiving feedback that I moved on to the next phase of the interview process and I would have to come for an in-person interview where I would present back a case study. The Talent Acquisition manager then called me to explain the brief of the case study (she also emailed me all the information) and how I would have a week to prepare the case study.
For the in-person interview, there were two people in-person, and the marketing manager on teams (they live in a different country). After presenting my case study they asked questions such as how I see consumer purchase behaviour in the current economy. They also gave me feedback on my presentation.
The next day, the Talent Acquisition Manger had sent me a message to let me know I would be meeting with the Global Marketing Director via teams at the end of the week. The interview went extremely smoothly. She asked me to take her through my CV and explained how the operations worked.
After a week, the local HR manager, asked for my information to do a background check and then two days later, she offered me the job - which starts immediately after my notice period.
Overall, the process took about 3 months, which is longer than what I am used to but I appreciate that they did everything quite seamlessly and by the book. The longest I had to wait for a response back was about 2 weeks but I understand that there were over 100 applicants for this role. Everyone I interacted with was helpful, friendly and very motivating. Looking forward to starting my journey at IFF!
