My interview at IBM was smooth and professional. The panel focused on technical skills, problem-solving, and communication. They were friendly, asked scenario-based questions, and emphasized teamwork and adaptability. Overall it was good.

Question 1
Can you describe a challenging project you worked on and how you handled unexpected issues or team conflicts during it?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at IBM (Hyderabad) in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied for a c and os role.the interview has totally 4 rounds .3 technical and 1 hr round.
Frst 2 where online round.
And 3rd one is f2f interview in data structures and then followed by hr round.
All my interviewers were super cool and from the questions asked I was qute happy that I am going to the right team.
However, there was an equally bad experience on the hiring recruiting front.
Poor/infrequent/no communication unless it is must required from their side. Just don't expect response to email or phone calls.
Multiple goof ups in terms of interview process: rounds agenda/sequence changes multiple times. e.g. Asked to skip a lunch/errand slot; but they went ahead and reschedule something in same window, without validating front candidate. Multiple times failed to walk the talk; candidate was put in an frustating waiting loop; overall interview last for multiple months. Doesn;t matter; whether interviewer is immediately avaialble and ready to finish interviews and join in overall 1-2 week. They simply don't care about organisation; just their day-2-day task; that too seems forceful. Poor experience. I will be careful in choosing team/hiring-manager , if I apply again.
As IBM is a huge organisation; It's hard to generalise the experience to organisation; there might be few bad apples in Recruiting cycle.
