I applied through other source. I interviewed at IBM (Hong Kong) in May 2019
Interview
Approached by internal HR recruitment team. She asked for my CV, and then days later I suddenly received email invite from another person for interview. I was not given any information about the role etc until I chased after HR. She finally gave me a generic JD, OK fine, I went for the interview anyways.
Lots of questions asked about BA technique, work experience etc by a project manager. Interview was standard.
Days later I finally had a chance to speak to HR about the current salary and salary expectations. She called 2 times during a 3 weeks period as of she totally forgot we already had that conversation. She said interview was positive and would arranged for next interview.
Weeks later after multiple following up, I finally had the interview with a senior PM. He was late for 20min and I was so close to leaving. Interview was standard too.
Weeks later, after multiple following up with the HR, she called to say it was very positive and they just needed to confirm on the offer.
Weeks later, after multiple following up again, HR called to tell me that they are offering me 50% of my current salary because they only got approved to hire a junior BA (despite JD saying they need candidates with at least 5 years of experience).
The whole experience was a waste of my time. They should not have proceeded with interview if their budget was so far off. 50% is really insulting.
Crappy company. They don't respect people at all.
