I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Ottawa, ON) in May 2021
Interview
Dropped off RESUME during seasonal hiring.
Was contacted quickly by department head, and emailed offer of employment -- pending interview and references check.
Interview was fine, and Employment Offers were fair, but given my personal circumstances - was not available 24/7 for a part time (32h) seasonal position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic resume verification, and skills background check.
Problem seemed to arise when I mentioned specific time-blocking for family matters, while still available over 120+ hours per week.
Offer(s) changed, multiple times during interview -- deleted previous email links, and/or new offers updated as we spoke on the phone.
Ultimately, although I was available for most of the week, Part Time seasonal required almost 24/7 commitment of availability, for only 32 scheduled hours.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2021
Interview
Human Resource asks some behavioral questions in the first round, it's a phone interview with no screen on. I still have more rounds to finish from the managers, hopefully, I can get an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Work experience; how you fit this job; expectation salaries; is it okay to work in the office
Pretty standard interview. Filled out app online, went into store and spoke with a manager. No crazy questions, very straightforward. Certainly one of the more comfortable interviews I e done in my time.
