I applied online. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Ottawa, ON) in Mar 2021
Interview
It is easy. It is pretty much based on basic customer service questions. It is not difficult to ace. They conducted only one round. The interviewer is so friendly and they gave enough time to answer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
how will you treat rude customers, what will you do if you don't know any answer to customers' questions?
Set up an interview online and then get a phone call but there were many issues where I had answered but there was nothing on the other end and then I was told that I did not answer and had to reschedule.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Toronto, ON) in May 2022
Interview
There were totally three rounds. First round was a programming test in which they gave an existing spring microservice and asked for some enhancements. Second round was a non technical discussion with a project manager and the third with an engineering manager. They took a lot of time between each round . The offer was below what I asked for and they kept bargaining that they don't have budget for the project. It was not professional as they clearly knew my expectations and still proceeded and wasted my time.

Question 1
They gave a hackerrank mini project with an existing spring micro service with unit tests. The expectation is to make some enhancements/ fix bug and ensure the unit tests pass.
Interview questions were more on my resume and experience and not very technical except for the programming test.
