I recently applied for the Account Manager position at Hilti and went through the interview process, which left me with a neutral experience. The process took about four weeks, which felt quite long, and the HR team was generally unresponsive, providing limited updates or feedback throughout.
While I wasn’t offered the role, I was informed that Hilti was seeking candidates with specific experience in the construction field. This requirement could have been better communicated or screened for earlier in the process to avoid wasting time for candidates without that background. It would have saved both sides unnecessary effort.
On a positive note, the interviewers were friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in learning about my current role and experiences. They created a comfortable atmosphere and were easy to talk to, which I appreciated.
Overall, the process could be improved with better communication and earlier screening, but the interviewers’ demeanor was a highlight.
