After having a quick phone interview going over my CV I was invited to a one to one inter view. This was in the head quarters and was going over my CV in more depth and about the company and what the position was all about. It wasn't too intense and they were good at answering any of my questions. After this I was invited to a group interview.
The group interview was very intense. You need to make yourself heard. Do good research on the company, their awards, the sectors they recruit for and know the company values! You will have to do role plays, in front of the whole group, around 12 other candidates. They expect you to progress through the day, so learn from your mistakes at the beginning. In the role plays everyone had a different scenario and it was done at random. So just be prepared to be resilient. I had to get get a candidate an interview with a lead employer, with the twist the employer was going on holiday the next day! They will make you sweat but they are just testing how you handle negative situations. I was unsuccessful after this stage but they did call me the next day with feedback and advice which was helpful.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hays (Londres, Inglaterra) in Oct 2025

3rd stage: 1 on 1 interview.
Teams interview with a senior consultant then a second teams interview which was an assessment centre day which lasted two hours. Long and drawn out. Tested character personality and confidence.
within 30 mins, it was a video interview on teams with a very experienced recruiter. Would ask questions based on your cv experiences, especially if ur degree is not related u should give a good reason of why u want to work as a recruitment consultant
