Applied around October 2024 for their graduate scheme. I only progressed to the telephone interview screening stage. The questions themselves were reasonably challenging but in line with what I expected. The real issue was the interaction: because the screening was handled by an external recruitment agency, the recruiter showed little genuine interest in me as a candidate. When I asked questions about the role, they stated outright that they couldn’t give substantive answers and essentially told me to save my questions for a later stage of the process. Overall, the process gave the impression that the company had outsourced the initial interviews stage to filter applicants, without ensuring the recruiter could represent the role or Haleon effectively. It felt transactional and impersonal, which reflects poorly on Haleon. Candidates come away feeling that their time and enthusiasm aren’t valued.
