      Sales Manager Interview

      Feb 11, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Londres, Inglaterra
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Online application process was straightforward and took approximately 30 mins to complete. I attended 2 rounds of interview, however was unsuccessful in getting the 3rd. For the first round, I was interviewed by a panel of 2 individuals. They reviewed by resume and asked me specifics about my prior work experience in sales and marketing. The questions asked were fair although there were 1 or 2 which I didn't get. The 2nd interview took place 2 weeks after the first, this time with a larger panel of 4. The scope of the interview was much broader than I had anticipated. Most of the questions asked were around scenarios that I did not expect, thus unfortunately did not fare too well in this interview. Each of the interview rounds lasted approximately 45 mins. I was informed 2 weeks after the 2nd interview that I was unsuccessful, though the feedback I was provided was very good.

      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Applied online. Waited for weeks before receiving an invitation to complete an online assessment. The assessment took about 50 minutes. The instruction for completing the assessment is confusing and not user friendly. Then waited for a little over a week and received a call from HR for a phone interview. The whole process is extremely slow and they would only communicate by email via their hiring site (you can only receive emails but not send to HR). Which means you have to login and check frequently. Right after the phone interview, they asked if I could come in for a in-person interview and we scheduled a time. They asked me to check the website for confirmation. The confirmation never came. The next thing I know after a few days, the application status was changed to declined. Overall an extremely bad experience.
